The Upper Charminster Community Action Group is a resident-led group working to make our neighbourhood safer, cleaner, and stronger for everyone who lives, works, studies, or visits here.

Since 2019, we have brought local people together to tackle crime, antisocial behaviour, environmental issues, and the loss of valued community spaces across Upper Charminster, Iddesleigh Road, Winton, Talbot Woods, and the surrounding area.

Through persistence, partnership, and collective action, residents have helped secure improvements including new CCTV, safer public spaces, regular litter-picks, and action on areas that had become hotspots for antisocial behaviour.

But there is still more to do.

We believe every resident deserves to feel safe, heard, and respected. By working together, sharing evidence, supporting each other, and holding the relevant agencies to account, we can continue to push for meaningful change and build a safer, stronger community for all.
